How it works
- Choose an inspection tier and tell us where the vehicle is and when you want it inspected.
- An independent, professional mobile mechanic goes to the vehicle and performs the inspection.
- You receive a written inspection report through the TekNSpek platform to help with your buying decision.
TekNSpek is a marketplace and scheduling platform. Inspections are performed by independent technicians who run their own businesses. Technician applicants are reviewed before they are approved to take jobs. TekNSpek does not perform inspections itself and is not a repair shop or dealership.
Pricing
Three fixed-price tiers, each covering a different scope of inspection. You pay online in advance when you book. There are no hidden fees.

Inspections are visual and mechanical assessments with an OBD2 scan. They are a professional opinion at the time of inspection, not a warranty. See the Terms below.

Leave your email and we will send one message when you can book. We use it for nothing else.
Cancellation and refund policy
- Full refund: you cancel 24 or more hours before the scheduled inspection.
- 50% refund: you cancel between 2 and 24 hours before.
- No refund: you cancel less than 2 hours before, the technician cannot access the vehicle for a reason on the customer or seller side, or the booking information was incorrect.
- Full refund: we cancel because no technician is available.
- Partial refund at our discretion: the inspection cannot be completed for reasons beyond the technician’s control, such as extreme weather or access denied by the seller.
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Stripe and PayPal processing fees are non-refundable. Email info@teknspek.com within 48 hours of the scheduled inspection time to request a refund.
Privacy
Right now this page collects only the email address you choose to submit above. We use it only to tell you when booking opens, we do not sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it any time at info@teknspek.com. When booking opens, payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal, and a full privacy policy will be posted on this site before the first booking is accepted.
Terms and Conditions

The Terms apply to customers, technicians, and visitors. In plain language, the key points are:
- TekNSpek is a technology marketplace and scheduling platform. It does not perform inspections and does not employ technicians.
- Technicians are independent contractors running their own businesses.
- An inspection report is the technician’s professional opinion at the time of inspection. It is not a guarantee or warranty, and no inspection can find every defect.
- TekNSpek’s liability is limited as set out in the Terms.
- Disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration in Fauquier County, Virginia (with a 30-day opt-out and a small-claims exception), under Virginia law.
